The creative process starts with Pippa taking photographs of particular subjects. Many images are taken in her own garden. She, then often crops the images to find compositions which demonstrate the amazing variation in shape, colour and form that the subjects offer.

Much of Pippa's work is produced at 50cm x 60cm and above. This gives the subject a presence and allows the viewer to fully appreciate the wonderful structure, textures and colours of the plants being painted.
